In Pinkchel Studio we are specialized in cultural and institutional campaigns, editorial work and art licensing. Our illustrations bring a different point of view about everyday situations, highlighting optimistic messages from contemporary lifestyle.

We have a fresh vibrant style, full of details, movement and analogical textures. Some of the topics we work about are: human rights, traveling, women empowerment, nature and environment, urban conflicts and everyday life routines.

Maria Pichel is an illustrator, Sociologist and tattoo artist from Spain. She coordinates Pinkchel Studio, the new project to attend the variety of illustration areas she has worked on for the last years.
She started her artistic career in the field of illustration in 2013. According to her sociological background, she focuses on social issues and their translation into artistic-graphic languages. She collaborates with different social organizations such as Femiñetas, Las Kellys and Colectivo de Prostitutas de Sevilla.
Was selected for an art residency in Colombia with La linterna linography workshop and awarded with a Fresh AIR scholarship in Berlin in collaboration with Urban Nation Museum. These experiences expanded her way to develop her art projects, giving special importance to the need of investigation during process creation.
Since 2022 she also works as a tattoo artist in Mallorca with Enigma Studio.
