A life biography of Marijose Barrera, one of the main activists for decriminalization of sex work in Spain. She used to be a sex worker and is one of the main voices of ‘Colectivo de Prostitutas de Sevilla’. Her life story shows some of the conflicts that surround sex workers: poverty, domestic violence, economical needs; and also about how the system works with people who is in more needs: institutional violence, estigma, poor labor options. But her life also explains how she became an activist and what kind of contradictions she found on her way. 

La Laboratoria is a space for feminist investigations. They worked with Marijose Barrera to make this book as a resource for everybody interested in social science, such as social workers or psychologists. This is a great tool to break prejudices against women who has been pulled to the margins of society.
