L(ea)ving home

Final artwork for the FRESH AIR art residence in Berlin.

This project comes from the struggles about creating your home when you migrate from one country to another. I interviewed 10 different people from 10 different countries to pick some of the reflections and feelings they were having and transform them into a storytelling.

The final outcome is a accordion booklet where some characters walk around the city talking about different feelings and impressions from the city. Since I was also spending winter there, being myself for a while a new citizen, all the atmospheres are strongly determined by the winter in Berlin, which was one of the topics in all interviews.

You can know more about the project and watch me explaining it (and saying a lot of times ‘kind of’) on this link.

A move to Berlin

Photos from the final collective exhibition ‘Reflecting migration’

The final exhibition was called ‘Reflecting Migration’, with other 11 resident artist who took this topic from their artistic field to develop it from their perspective.

We had intense debates, reflections and feedback, which made me feel really proud also about how the final exhibition was put together. An enrichment experience in all senses.
